Home’s History
The Foley Mansion, located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, was constructed in 1889 by a prominent lumber and railroad magnate.
This historical residence, also known as the Foley–Brower–Bohmer House, showcases the distinctive Richardsonian Romanesque architectural style.
It’s noted for its unique features such as a conical tower, intricate stonework, and stained and curved glass windows.
The mansion was added to the list of Historic Places in 1978, underlining its significance and preservation value.
Over the years, it has maintained much of its original appearance, making it a rare architectural gem in the city.
Its Current State
Recently, the Foley Mansion underwent extensive renovations by Carmen and Allen Arvig, who have restored it while adding modern amenities like an elevator, a commercial kitchen, and a garden tea room.
These updates have transformed the mansion into a versatile event center, capable of hosting a variety of gatherings from corporate events to dinner parties.
The renovation aimed to preserve the mansion’s historical charm while enhancing its functionality for contemporary use.
Today, the Foley Mansion stands as a testament to the fusion of historical preservation and modern convenience, serving the community as a beautiful venue for events and gatherings.
