Epstein Files Reveal 100 Private Emails With Prince Andrew Raising New Questions
NPR

Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein are back under the spotlight as congressional investigators examine more than 100 previously undisclosed emails between the Duke of York and the disgraced financier. The cache, buried within hundreds of thousands of documents, threatens to reignite one of the monarchy’s biggest scandals while raising fresh calls for a full inquiry. Lawmakers warn that the revelations could reshape not only Andrew’s legacy but also the reputations of others linked to Epstein’s circle.

Hidden Emails Uncovered

On September 14, 2025, reports confirmed that more than 100 private emails between Prince Andrew and Epstein were discovered during a U.S. congressional review of the so-called “Epstein files.” According to Mail on Sunday and GB News, these communications could prove “embarrassing and incriminating.” One insider remarked, “If you think what’s happened to Peter Mandelson is bad, then you have no idea what will happen when the Andrew emails are released.”

Epstein Files Investigation

The emails are part of an expansive trove of documents tied to Epstein’s network. These files also contain a 238-page birthday book compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein’s 50th birthday. Divided into categories like “friends,” “business,” and “science,” the book included handwritten notes from high-profile associates such as Peter Mandelson. Publicly released versions have redacted entries under “family” and “girl friends.” None of the contributors is accused of crimes related to Epstein, but the documents remain politically explosive.

Prince Andrew’s Legal Past

Prince Andrew has long faced scrutiny over his association with Epstein. In 2001, Virginia Giuffre alleged she was introduced to the Duke by Epstein and sexually abused on three occasions. Andrew denied the allegations but, in 2022, reached a civil settlement with Giuffre for £12 million, without admitting liability. His infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, where he insisted he had cut ties with Epstein in 2010, only fueled criticism.

Giuffre Family’s Demands

The debate reignited after Virginia Giuffre died by suicide in Australia earlier this year. Her family has since demanded accountability. Her brother, Sky Roberts, told the BBC, “It doesn’t matter if it’s a Royal Family member or president or prince… every single person deserves to be held to the fullest extent of the law.” His wife, Amanda Roberts, added, “I think we’re right on the precipice of seeing all of those skeletons start to come to the surface.”

Leaked Messages Revealed

Several emails allegedly linked to Andrew have already surfaced in legal records. In February 2011, he reportedly wrote to Epstein, “Keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon!!” Another exchange from January 2015 shows him emailing Ghislaine Maxwell about Virginia Giuffre: “Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts!” Maxwell allegedly replied, “Have some info. Call me when you have a moment.” Sources suggest that at least 100 such emails are included in the Epstein files.

Legal Experts Weigh In

David Boies, who represented Giuffre, told Piers Morgan Uncensored that Andrew should face a serious investigation. “There are between ten and 20 men that we have enough information on that should entail a serious prosecutorial investigation,” Boies said. When asked if Andrew was among them, he replied, “Yes.” Boies argued both the UK and the U.S. had “basically given him a pass.”

Lawmakers Push Subpoenas

Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury confirmed the House Oversight Committee is preparing new subpoenas. “We are currently working on a list of additional documents, witnesses, and others associated with these crimes that the committee intends to move a vote for subpoenaing,” she explained. Reports suggest figures tied to Epstein’s 50th birthday book, including Donald Trump, could also be called to testify.

Trump’s Letter Controversy

Donald Trump has denied sending a lewd birthday letter to Epstein, despite the document bearing his signature. The letter, shaped around the outline of a naked woman, ended with, “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday, and may every day be another wonderful secret.” Trump dismissed it as “fake news,” with the White House adding, “It’s not news that Epstein knew Donald Trump, because Donald Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep.” Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, urged Trump to release the remaining files: “If he’s not implicated in this, then he needs to do the right thing.”
