Republicans were left reeling as Mamdani’s decisive win symbolized another crushing blow in the Democrats’ nationwide election sweep. The New York Post plastered its front page with the headline “The Red Apple,” showing Mamdani’s face on a red cartoon body holding a hammer and sickle under the caption “On your Marx, get set, Zo!” The cover fueled outrage among MAGA commentators, who accused New York voters of ushering in a “communist takeover.”

Hannity Warns of “Mamdani Effect”
On Fox News, host Sean Hannity fumed that Mamdani’s victory would trigger a mass exodus from New York. “My phone is blowing up. They are officially depressed and scared,” he said.
