A luxury renter at Trump Tower claims her landlord swiped a $7,000 Hermes bag, along with other designer goods, after she fell massively behind on rent. Interior designer Sehra Waheed says the items vanished during her eviction, and she is now suing her landlord and the Trump Corporation for $1.5 million. The landlord, however, insists Waheed never paid rent and calls her a “scammer.”

In November 2022, Waheed signed a $7,500-a-month lease for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit in Trump Tower’s Turtle Bay location. She says her financial situation quickly spiraled after a business loan she expected never materialized.

Eviction and Alleged Theft
Bui obtained an eviction judgment in December 2023. Movers cleared the apartment soon after, and Waheed claims that’s when her luxury possessions, including her black Hermes Kelly bag, Chanel dress and purse, antiques, porcelain, and artwork, disappeared.
