President Donald Trump on Friday launched a blistering attack on Microsoft’s global affairs president, Lisa Monaco, urging the tech giant to remove her immediately. Monaco, a former deputy attorney general under Joe Biden and homeland security advisor during the Obama administration, was branded by Trump as “deranged,” a “pawn,” and a threat to U.S. national security. His comments, delivered after a golf appearance, mark his latest public clash with former administration officials now in private roles.

Trump’s Explosive Remarks

Posting on Truth Social, Trump accused Monaco of being part of what he described as “Deep State conspiracies” against him. He listed episodes, including the Russia investigation, the January 6 probe, and the Mar-a-Lago documents case, as examples of her alleged involvement. “Monaco has been shockingly hired as the President of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information. Monaco’s having that kind of access is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand,” Trump wrote.

Criticism of Past Roles

Trump tied Monaco’s career to both the Obama and Biden administrations, calling her “a purported pawn of Legal Lightweight Andrew Weissmann.” He referenced her work as deputy attorney general under Biden and her time as a senior national security aide to Barack Obama. He alleged that Monaco’s positions enabled her to help orchestrate investigations that he has long labeled as politically motivated attacks.

Accusations of Conspiracies

In his statement, Trump cited what he characterized as “the worst ever Deep State Conspiracies” tied to Monaco. Among these, he included the Russia probe, the January 6 “hoax,” the “illegal raid” on Mar-a-Lago, and what he called the “Biden Autopen scandal.” He argued that Monaco’s involvement in these matters showed she was unfit to hold a corporate position with access to government contracts.

Security Clearance Revoked

Trump also claimed that Monaco had already been stripped of her federal security clearances. “Because of Monaco’s many wrongful acts, the U.S. Government recently stripped her of all Security Clearances, took away all of her access to National Security Intelligence, and banned her from all Federal Properties,” he wrote. According to Trump, this alone should disqualify her from serving in a high-level role at Microsoft.

Demands for Termination

The former president concluded his post with a direct call to Microsoft to act swiftly. “It is my opinion that Microsoft should immediately terminate the employment of Lisa Monaco,” Trump wrote. He insisted that Monaco’s continued presence posed risks to national security, particularly because of the company’s major contracts with the U.S. government.

Microsoft’s Position Unclear

As of Friday, Microsoft has not issued a public response to Trump’s demands. Monaco, who only joined the company in June, remains in her role as president of global affairs. The situation has already sparked speculation about whether the company will address Trump’s accusations or resist political pressure regarding its executive hires.
